Valori.it is an online magazine belonging to Fondazione Finanza Etica, promoted by Banca Etica and Etica Sgr. Since 2002, its journalists have been conducting investigations and presenting reportages aimed at providing information on the world of finance and the economy. In 2018, we went down a new route, in an attempt to make our investigations accessible to a wider audience, engaging readers with an approach to journalism able to make the most of digital resources, experiment with new media and establish a dialogue with readers through social media platforms.

Valori.it is an online magazine belonging to Fondazione Finanza Etica, promoted by Banca Etica and Etica Sgr. Since 2002, its journalists have been conducting investigations and presenting reportages aimed at providing information on the world of finance and the economy. These are questions sometimes viewed as “complex”, but we endeavour to render them more readily comprehensible, because the quality of our lives, the environment and our communities are closely and profoundly linked to the choices made in markets and in the world of business. In 2018, we went down a new route, developed thanks to the experience of the “Non con i miei soldi!” (Not with my money!) initiative, in an attempt to make our investigations accessible to a wider audience, engaging readers with an approach to journalism able to make the most of digital resources, experiment with new media and establish a dialogue with readers through social media platforms. Our aim is to shed light on the injustices of the economic system, highlight the local and global consequences of individual behaviour and promote alternative social and sustainable economy experiences. Valori is also a financial education resource: Italy is one of the countries with the lowest levels of financial education in the world, and we believe in a critical, independent financial education, able to give a central role to people, not only as “customers”, but above all as citizens, men and women able to grasp the non-economic consequences of economic actions.
