Established in 1996, Sartori Ambiente immediately began developing products and solutions for the environment. After supplying the first thermo composters, the company soon began devising and producing a complete range of containers for domestic waste collection. The development of the various product ranges has earned Sarori Ambiente a leadership position in the sector in both Italy and Europe.

Sartori Ambiente was founded in 1996 with the intention to develop products and technological solutions for the environment, prompted by the awakening and spread during those years of a collective ecological conscience and the awareness that waste collection and disposal is a complex issue, dramatically so in some geographical areas.

With the application of the Ronchi Decree in 1998, both individual citizens and public administrations were called upon to exercise a major sense of responsibility with regard to planning significant investments in sustainability actions in the sector.

It was then that Sartori Ambiente embarked on a research effort that led to the first technological innovations: from the thermo composter to “Urba”, in 2002: a complete range of containers for domestic waste collection. Following constant growth and successful solutions in Italy and in Europe, Sartori Ambiente expanded into New Zealand in 2008.

This responsible, attentive approach to all aspects of sustainability was recognised by the award of UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2007 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 in 2009. The “Urba” and “Stelo” products obtained “Plastica Seconda Vita” certification in 2007, and the same certification was awarded to the “Horto” products in 2009.
